Requirements

  1. Be in the final (senior) year of a bachelor’s programme in environmental, physical, earth or natural sciences, engineering or mathematics — or an early-career professional who already holds such a degree.
  2. At least three references who know your academic work, such as professors or course instructors.
  3. Pass the General Environmental Science (GES) exam.

Application process

  1. Confirm you meet the education requirement.
  2. Submit the EPI application form.
  3. Have at least three referees complete the Professional Reference Questionnaire.
  4. Pass the GES exam — passing awards the EPI designation.
